Ok so you are probably cringing at idea of how to remember that the name of my blog is “As Sabr”. Well first let me say, FAVORITE my blog if you like it… that way you won’t have to worry about it. Or just in case you are ever on another computer just remember “patience”. “As Sabr” means patience in arabic… and since I’ve decided to document my sisterlock journey I decided to name it that.
How did I get that name? Well my mother use to say that word a lot when we were in Egypt. When people would fuss she’d just say “sabr! sabr!”. Hehe. And hair involves so much patience! What better word would there be for it? And oh, just for the people who do know arabic, please don’t rag on me if maybe there is something wrong with using “as sabr” in this context… i’m no Arabic speaker! Just go with the flow ok? hehe.
Well anyways, I decided to create this blog because I feel the need to document my hair journey. I want to see the results for myself as I go through this process. I want to create some records. On top of that I feel that there is a need to do this to show other people about all of their hair options.
I’m not going to make the committment to blog everyday or even every week about my hair. Really this is just meant to be a place of “updates” and occasional conversation about whatever issues I may come across when it comes to hair. But you never know how often I may update and talk about hair.
